The Appalachian Long Distance Hiking Association (ALDHA)has dedicated itself to helping and preserving services on the Appalachian Trail; therefore, The ALDHA Care Program will provide assistance to Low Cost and Donation Only Hostels along the Appalachian Trail. Assistance to these Service Providers will be made available via logistical support, organized maintenance/cleaning events, and by helping Low Cost and Donation Only Hostels with day to day operations during the peak hiking season.

Yearly, ALDHA will deliver each Low Cost and Donation Only Hostel a package of items to help jumpstart their hiking season.

Each year, one Low Cost/Donation Only Hostel will be the recipient of the ALDHA Care Spring Clean Up. Further, ALDHA Care will help with all maintenance events at Trail Days in Damascus, VA, as well as being present at all the major Trail events on the AT.

ALDHA and ALDHA Care are dedicated in preserving the Appalachian Trail. ALDHA Care will participate in maintenance on the Appalachian Trail on a year round basis.
